Netflix's Luke Cage Video Shows Its Hip-Hop Inspiration

    Ahead of its debut in September, Netflix has released a new promotional video for Luke Cage centered around its hip-hop inspirations. The video features a bunch of footage from the show intercut with many of the people involved in the show talking about the creation of its music.
     "From a musical perspective, Ali [Shaheed Muhammad, music supervisor] and I look at this as, we're creating 13 albums. It's 13 episodes; it's like 13 albums," said fellow music supervisor Adrian Younge.

Titanfall 2 Dev Teases Multiplayer and Network Changes

    Respawn Entertainment has revealed a new video series for Titanfall 2 called "Inside Development." As producer Drew McCoy explains in the introduction video below, this will be a series where developers speak directly to fans about the design decisions they made and the reasoning for them.

New Mafia 3 Trailer Tells You All About the Main Character and His Troubled Past

2K today released a new trailer for crime game Mafia III, spotlighting main character Lincoln Clan's story. This trailer, titled "The Soldier," is the first in a series of videos that will focus on an important character.
    As you'll see in the video, Clay grew up as an orphan and was raised streets of New Bordeaux, which is Mafia III's take on New Orleans. He became an outlaw when he fell in with the black mob and eventually took off for the Vietnam War. When he returns, he discovers the Italian mob--led by gangster Sal Marcano--has wiped out Clay's friends and associates. Naturally, he wants revenge, and taking the Italian mob down in 1968 is at the heart of the story.

Kojima Reveals Death Stranding Will Be His "Best Work

During his keynote address at the Develop Conference today, Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima said he is positive his new PlayStation 4 and PC game, Death Stranding, will be the best title he's ever made. Speaking on stage alongside PS4 system architect Mark Cenry, Kojima said he is "very confident this will be my best work,".

New Mafia 3 Trailer Shows Off Guns and Cars Preorder Bonuses

   2K Games has let out a new trailer for upcoming open-world crime game Mafia III that spotlights that title's preorder bonus items.
   Everyone who preorders gets the "Family Kick-Back" pack, which comes with three cars and three guns. The cars include the Lassiter Leopard, Smith Moray MX 100, and Berkley Stallion. As for the guns, these are the Gator shotgun, camo sniper, and Trench 1938 submachine gun. Check out the video below, set to CCR's famous song "Born on the Bayou," to see all of these in action.

The Last Guardian Will Meet Expectations, Says Sony Exec

     Team Ico's The Last Guardian has been in development since 2007, and over the years expectations have built up, perhaps reaching unattainable heights. However, in an interview with Gameswelt, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida said he believes The Last Guardian won't fail to live up to these expectations.

"No, I'm not worried. I have confidence in the team and Ueda-san's vision," he said. "We are so excited to finally be able to play this game that needed to be out.
"Lots of people are waiting," he continued. "I expect people will enjoy it when it comes out."

    Despite the fame garnered by the Mission: Impossible movies, it seems that one successful action franchise isn't enough for Tom Cruise. Following 2012's Jack Reacher, the star will return as the super-tough ex-military cop for a second dose of thrills in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. Mafia 3's Underbosses Can Turn on You if They're Neglected

    Mafia III hits shelves later this year, and we learned a lot about the open world crime game at E3. Now, lead writer Bill Harms has disclosed a bit more about how the game's under-bosses and districts will work.

    Mafia 3's Protagonist, Lincoln Clay, finds himself in New Bordeaux during the late sixties, as he seeks revenge on Sal Marcano for killing the black mob. He's working towards his goal with three underbosses: Cassandra, the leader of the Haitian gang; Thomas Burke, a member of the Irish mob; and Vito Scaletta, the protagonist from Mafia II.

    A new Street Fighter V mod introduces Overwatch's Tracer to the game, although as a new skin, not an original character.
    As seen in the video below, Tracer is a new skin for Cammy developed by Patreon user THEJAMK. It's pretty spot-on, and not immediately apparent that this is the creation of a modder, as she seems to fit right into the Street Fighter V world. It's just a shame he isn't her own character with a unique moveset.

     Supervillains have always been an important part of comic book movies, and the upcoming Suicide Squad will be one of the first times that they have headed up their own film. The DC movie sees a gang of the most dangerous bad guys sent on a mission by the US government in return for reduced prison sentences. The latest TV spot has landed which can be seen below:

Injustice 2 Confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One With New Trailer

    Following a thread of reports and leaks, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today officially revealed Injustice 2, a sequel to 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us. It's scheduled to come out in 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017. Developer NetherRealm, which made the first game, is also behind the sequel. The game promises a "massive roster" of DC superheroes and villains. Two of these are Batman and The Flash, who were featured in the leaked poster and are in the announcement trailer.

Pokemon Sun/Moon Legendaries Revealed

   Following the announcement of Pokemon Sun and Moon's starter Pokemon, The Pokemon Company today revealed the Legendary creatures that will appear in the game. These powerful Pokemon are called Solgaleo and Lunala, and The Pokemon Company teased today that they will play a "crucial role" in the story. Solgaleo's signature move is called Sunsteel Strike, and it's an attack that "charges at an opponent with the force of a meteor." As for Lunala, its signature Moongest Beam attack shoots out an "ominous beam of light."

The Division Runs Into More Issues

   The Division has experienced more issues, this time related to an "unsuccessful" patch. As a result, the patch did not go out on schedule today and has been delayed. Additionally, the new Challenge Mode for The Division's Clear Sky raid is also being delayed.

"Prior to deployment, it has been found that the patch was unsuccessful and has been delayed. As such, today's maintenance will finish early (approximately 12pm CEST)," Ubisoft said in the game's forums.

Fly X-Wing or TIE Fighter from Star Wars in Halo 5 With This Fan Creation

  Following the Halo 5: Guardians Star Wars podracing Forge mode comes another one themed around the sci-fi universe. This one lets you battle in space. Xbox Live user CaptainDireWolf, who made the podracing mod, is behind this one as well. It's called "Starfighter Combat," and it supports 2-12 players. You play on a team of either X-wings or TIE fighters, and the object is simple: take out your enemies using any means necessary.

Battlefield Hardline's Getaway Expansion Is Now Free

   The Getaway expansion for cops-and-robbers shooter Battlefield Hardline is now entirely free on all platforms as part of EA's "Road to Battlefield 1" campaign. It won't be free forever, though, as the content will return to its normal $15 price point on June 7. Getaway, which was released back in January, adds four new maps (Pacific Highway, Train Dodge, Double Cross, and Diversion), as well as more weapons and vehicles. It also introduces a new game mode called Capture the Bag.

  The final piece of The Witcher 3 content, Blood and Wine, will be upon us next week and so CD Projekt Red have released a launch trailer for the DLC, showing off some of the darker aspects that monster slayers everywhere will be sinking their teeth into.

Warcraft Movie Video Displays How Orcs Were Brought to Life

    It's now less than a month until Warcraft opens in theaters, and Universal Pictures has released a new video that shows how the production team used visual effects to create realistic emotions and hair for the movie's orcs. The visual effects were produced by Industrial Light & Magic, which was founded by George Lucas and has done work on the Star Wars movies and films like Captain America: Civil War and Pacific Rim. Animation supervisor Hal Hickel said that for Warcraft they "had to create a whole race of orcs that had to hold their own against the live actors in the film." You can see how they did that in the video below.

    Ubisoft has released a video that explains how to use the new operators' gadgets and tactics. The two new operators are Valkyrie and Blackbeard and come with sticky cameras and a weapon shield respectively. You can see them for yourself in the video below.
