Discovery Made on Destiny's Fall Expansion Release Date

   

   With Destiny 2 coming in 2017, players of the current game can expect a new expansion to release this year. And now, we may know exactly when that expansion will release, thanks to a clue uncovered by Destiny fans. Reddit user Rezyl Azzir shared a walkthrough on how to find a new Grimoire lore card only 16 minutes after said update went live--this would have required the player to download the update, complete a Prison of Elders run, and post about it in that time.

Destiny April Update Release Date and Details


     Those faithful fans awaiting the Destiny Update 2.2.0 won't have to wait any longer than a month, as the newly-named "April Update" arrives on April 12 with a number of new things for players. Developer, Bungie, disclosed the date in "This Week at Bungie" on its website. Some details were also given about what players can expect to find when the ulaunches next month.
    PVE challenges, new and updated gear, and a new quest featuring the Blighted Chalice Strike, among other things will be thrown at Destiny players. Players can expect to see an increase to their maximum Light and rewards, as well as updates to the Sandbox and Crucible. Bungie added a picture of three guardians that look a lot like the Taken, though the company did not announce a shader inspired by the Destiny enemies.The April Update is included with the purchase of Destiny: The Taken King and will be available to download on April 12.

Details On Destiny's latest Patch


Bungie has posted a new "hotfix" for Destiny that makes changes to matchmaking settings. As detailed on Bungie's website, update 2.1.1.3 brings with it Crucible changes such that matchmaking algorithms now prioritize connection quality over everything else. Scroll down to learn more. The new Destiny patch also enables the "Damage Referee" for all Crucible playlists. As Bungie explained previously, the Damage Referee is basically a system that aims to improve the overall matchmaking experience by "handling things that can go wrong when you're playing games online."

Destiny King's Fall Raid Hard Mode Coming Today


The new Hard Mode for Destiny's latest raid, King's Fall, opens today. Players will be able to try their hand at the uber-difficult challenge today, October 23, starting at 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EDT / 6 PM UK. As previously stated, Bungie recommends that the raid be tackled by players with 300-320 Light, and the loot rewards in it will be between 310-320. 

Destiny's Patch 2.0.2 expected to hit "before Thanksgiving."


Bungie has released details on a major upcoming update for sci-fi shooter Destiny. As detailed on the Bungie blog, update 2.0.2 is scheduled to roll out in November. The patch will fix a number of issues by improving the reward drops in Iron Banner, tweaking Bounties, and more.

After admitting Destiny's Nightfall rewards were so bad it could "feel like losing," Bungie is preparing to roll out a new update that promises better prizes for players who complete the missions.

Why Bungie Is Overhauling Destiny's Questing System

Bungie is talking more about Destiny's overhauled quest system that's coming to the shooter next month alongside the Taken King expansion. Taken King creative director Luke Smith said Bungie is hoping to improve upon the original Destiny's questing system, which he admitted was not everything it could be.
