New Trailer For Mirror's Edge Catalyst Gives Faith A Run For Her Money

It’s been almost a decade since the first Mirror’s Edge delivered the most visceral AAA parkour experience we’d ever seen in a game. Ever since, fans have been clamoring for a sequel and that day is almost upon us with the upcoming release of Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst. EA have gifted us with a new trailer for the game and it’s looking like everything fans could want it to be.

The city in Catalyst still has that clean, sci-fi feel that made the first so iconic but somehow feels more realised and detailed, whereas in the first game often it felt like you were travelling through a Warhol painting. The combat looks to be much more fluid and accessible, rather than a desperate last gambit and the graphics are just absolutely gorgeous.

Catalyst will offer players the chance to free roam and free run completely independently, whereas the first game was pretty much entirely linear. If you can’t already tell, I’m beyond excited for it and I think it’s going to be another amazing experience and will finally fulfill the promise that made gamers fall so deeply in love with the first.

Are you guys excited to free run across the Glass City? Catalyst releases June 7th in North America and June 9th in Europe on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
