Microsoft's 'nearly extinct' Xbox One Elite controller is again available to buy at some retailers. Presently, the $150 controller is in stock at BestBuy and GameStop, however, the product's Amazon page tells us the pad will be available to order on January 23.
The controller remains sold out at Microsoft's store. If you're interested, you may want to act quickly, as the controller has been known to sell out in a flash.
The Elite controllers were sold out because Microsoft "totally underestimated" the appeal of the pad, CMO Chris Capossela recently said. Microsoft originally wanted to produce more, but the feedback from E3 was that $150 was too steep, so they scaled back.
