The Rock Joins Jumanji Reboot With Promises Of Not Screwing It Up

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has come aboard Sony's Jumanji reboot, the actor and professional wrestler announced today on Instagram.
"It's official. We'll produce and deliver to a whole new generation a title that I love and is one of my favs: There's games you play for fun...then there's games that change your life. Jumanji," he said.
He added: "Promise to deliver something cool and special...and not screw the whole damn thing up."
Jake Kasdan, who happens to be the son of legendary Star Wars writer, Lawrence Kasdan, is directing the Jumanji reboot for Sony. Variety, which originally reported that Johnson was in talks to appear in the film, has heard from a source that actor and comedian Kevin Hart will also have a role in the film.

The Jumanji remake opens on July 28, 2017.
