The first image of Hunger Games actress Elizabeth Banks as Power Rangers villain Rita Repulsa has surfaced. Shared by People and on Twitter, the costume and makeup are definitely eye-catching. Fans may also notice that this new version looks quite different than what we saw on the '90s TV show.
Banks told People of the costume design, "It's definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa." Repulsa is the first villain character that Banks has ever played, but she may feel right at home in costume, as it looks like something her Hunger Games character Effie Trinket might wear. Banks is excited to play the part, telling the magazine that she's looking forward to "world domination and being unpredictable as a character."
