Quantum Break Will Not Be Coming To Steam - Microsoft

In an age where it seems Steam is the undisputed king of digital sales platforms, it has become increasingly rare for a publisher to keep their game away from Steam as you'll scarcely find a PC gamer who doesn't actively use their Steam account. Having already stirred a bit of a buzz over the system requirements for Quantum Break, Microsoft have also revealed that the game will be a Windows Store Exclusive when it releases on 5th April.

This information was disclosed by Aaron Greenberg, Head of Xbox Games Marketing. It seems quite a strange choice considering how much they're limiting their available audience both through setting the hardware bar for their game extremely high and then keeping their game off Steam.
What do you guys think? Was it a mistake to keep Quantum Break off Steam or are you happy another digital sales platform has an exclusive?
