Far Cry Primal Full Advanced Graphics Options Revealed

Console gamers have been parading their stuff in Far Cry Primal’s prehistoric wilderness already this week, but PC players have not more than just few days until they can join the fray. As it usually is with a Ubisoft PC port, you’d do right to cast a watchful eye over its optimization.

If you’ve played Far Cry 4 then, spoiler, these are going to be a very familiar set of graphics options, with a few new additions to hopefully ensure Far Cry Primal is the best looking Far Cry yet.

Far Cry Primal Advanced Settings

As you can see there's not precisely a great deal to play around with but Ubisoft has certainly got most the important bases covered here. We've seen from the preview footage that the Volumetric Fog looks absolutely awesome. So, this is sure to be something to dial up if you've got the requisite hardware. It's basically realistic fog effects and it means you get misty mornings and billowing smoke from bonfires. It certainly adds a great deal to Far Cry Primal's atmosphere. Aside from this Far Cry Primal's graphics options are essentially identical to Far Cry 4. Somewhat unusual, there doesn't seem to be any Nvidia exclusive GameWorks effects, so that's a bonus for Radeon users.
