Spike Chunsoft Confirm Danganronpa And Sequel Coming To PC

Spike Chunsoft have now only officially confirmed Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is coming to PC, and also that its sequel and more are set to follow. A cryptic tweet had hinted at a Steam released for the much loved virtual novel series, but now it has been announced the original will debut on PC in February this year.

The sequel follows a similar pattern to the original, although this time, 15 high school students are taken to an, at first glance, idyllic holiday island, before being forced to murder one another in secret in order to survive. That’s just the beginning as well. The eclectic Japanese publisher has confirmed Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair will also be making the jump, with the promise of more to come. When taking a look through Spike Chunsoft’s expanding repertoire of Japan-centric titles there’s quite a few that stand out. Of particular note is the Zero Escape series. This particular franchise has gained a critical and cult following on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita, beginning with 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, 9 Doors, and including Virtue’s Last Reward and the upcoming Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma.
These branching tales have dozens of different potential endings, as well as allowing the user to rewind time in order to uncover each and every potential scenario. This causes some great twists, such as using the knowledge you learnt when your character dies at the end of one branch to advance a puzzle in another.
