The first Steam Beta update for Fallout 4 has been let out of the bag, fixing a number of critical issues with Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG. Most important here are the memory leak and stability improvements, which could prove to be of immense help in boosting performance and preventing the dreaded game crashes.
Elsewhere Bethesda has tackled a number of issues with broken quest lines which can halt progress, as well as problems with loading saved games during specific situations. Another interesting fix is for the Fallout 4 launcher, which wasn’t saving the God Rays Quality setting properly. We were fiddling around with that for ages trying to benchmark Fallout 4, so it’s good to see that get tackled.
