If you the thought of fiddling around with the Fallout 4 .ini files makes you hope a real atomic bomb will drop on your head, then a new mod that’s released could be just what you’re looking for.
The Fallout 4 configuration tool makes tweaking the settings Bethesda ‘overlooked’ much easier. Rather than you manually adding in lines of instructions this new application has tick boxes for enabling and disabling mouse acceleration, mouse smoothing and framerate locks. If you’re after custom resolutions or tweaking the field of view (FOV), then this also has you covered. The program works by altering your Fallout 4 .ini files for you basically, taking the stress out of getting Fallout 4 working just how you want it. The full list of features currently supported by it are:
- Field of View Tweaker
- Toggle Mouse Acceleration
- Toggle Mouse Smoothing
- Toggle Framerate lock
- Toggle Gamepad Support
- Toggle the Intro video
- Tweak the Mouse Sensitivity
- Resolution Tweaker
- Toggle Borderless Windowed Mode
- Makes your INI files read-only after editing so they don't revert
