Microsoft Unveil Plans For E3 Showcase

Microsoft has probably become the latest gaming giant to throw its hat into the E3 ring, by announcing it will once more be hosting a live press conference at E3 this coming June. As ever, Microsoft has opted for the Monday morning slot, kicking proceedings off at 9:30am PT (17:30pm BST) on Monday, June 13.
"We're excited to return to E3 this year where we'll showcase more games and experiences coming later in 2016 and beyond," reads the press invite from Microsoft, "starting with our briefing at 9:30 AM PDT on Monday, June 13."

We can expect to see some follow up on Quantum Break and its upcoming content, Crackdown 3 and Gears of War 4 as the main stars of their showcase. Gears of War 4 has already seen some additional information in the recent days so clearly Microsoft are looking to ramp up advertising and media coverage of the game so it’s more than likely the latest entry in the franchise will be the cornerstone of their conference.

Microsoft have also recently begun to outline their plans for the Xbox One Anniversary Update, which will see the addition of Cortana to the console as well as background music using Microsoft's Groove music program.

EA’s press conference will be taking place Sunday at June 12 at 1 p.m. PT and Bethesda have confirmed their press conference to be June 12th at 7 p.m. PT. Activision and Disney are not attending at all, and Square Enix and Ubisoft have yet to announce a date or time for their attendance.
