Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, the remastered version of Epic Games' 2006 Xbox 360 game, is discounted to just $10 right now for Xbox One on Amazon. You'd do well to note that this deal is for a digital code. Physical copies are available and are also discounted ($25) but at press time, there are fewer than a dozen copies available in stock. Amazon's offer appears to be in response to retailers Best Buy, GameStop, and the Microsoft Store, all of which are also selling the game for the same hefty discount.
The Ultimate Edition is also available on PC through Windows 10, but the same discount is not available for this version. Instead, Ultimate Edition's PC version goes for $30. Ultimate Edition's discount comes not long before the start of Gears of War 4's multiplayer beta. Everyone who plays the Ultimate Edition by April 11 (on Xbox One or PC) will receive early access to the beta, which will be held on Xbox One.
