New Shenmue 3 Screenshots Surface

What? Did someone say Shenmue 3 won't be happening? Well, take a look at these screenshots and think again! It is definitely happening! They were released to coincide with the Monaco Anime Game International Conferences, where game director Yu Suzuki appeared at the weekend. The team behind 'Shenmue 3,' the game whose Kickstarter campaign set crowdfunding records after its announcement at E3 2015, has released a new collection of screenshots showing off a handful of locations from the upcoming game's world.

From pumpkins chilling in the morning sun to a dark and foggy stroll beside a lake, the new images highlight the different areas that players might expect to come across in the upcoming title.

'Shenmue 3' is the long-awaited next entry in the open-world franchise that started 16 years ago on the Sega Dreamcast. Its Kickstarter campaign racked up an impressive $6,333,295 in crowdfunded capital. It's currently slated for a December 2017 release.
