Xbox One Elite Controller Limited Through March 2016

Despite the hefty price tag, the Microsoft Xbox One Elite controller has apparently been selling like hotcakes, so much so that Microsoft was surprised by the demand and had completely underestimated it. This is obviously a good thing for Microsoft, but unfortunately this is not good for gamers looking to get their hands on it. Now, Microsoft has warned that the $150 controller will continue to face "limited supply" through March 2016.

In a statement issued to Tech Insider, Microsoft said it's sending new stock to retailers every week, but, because the controllers are flying off the shelves, supply will continue to be short for a few months more.
According to the rep, “While the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller is sold out in many retailers around the world, we are working quickly to get more units in the hands of fans. We expect more units to arrive at retailers each week but supply may be limited through March 2016.”
Right now the only way you might be able to get your hands on one is by buying the Xbox One Elite bundle.
This is a bundle that contains both the Xbox One console and the Elite controller. If you don’t have an Xbox One we suppose this bundle makes sense, but if you already own the Xbox One then this is probably a silly and expensive investment, just for the controller. Otherwise it looks like you’ll just have to wait it out.
