Pokemon Original Card Game Getting Re-Release in Japan

The very first set of Pokemon trading cards will be re-released in Japan in February to celebrate the franchise's 20th anniversary, The Pokemon Company has revealed. Japanese fans can buy the base set on February 27, 2016 through a 60-card pack that also features a manual and coin.

The cards' designs will be exactly as you remember them from two decades ago. They'll be available in the island nation for ¥1,300, which is about $10. A play mat will be sold separately for ¥5,000 yen (about $40). This is just one part of The Pokemon Company's celebration of the Pokemon franchise's 20th anniversary.
