High-End PCs Will See Resurgence in 2016- Valve rep

Due to the predicted popularity of virtual reality, high-end PCs in the home will see a "resurgence" in 2016. That's according to Valve's Chet Faliszek, who offered his thoughts on Twitter.
"Thanks to VR, in this coming year we will see a resurgence of high-end PCs in the home," he said.

Faliszek also said he's thinking about what implications this may have. "What's the side-effect?" "What are the opportunities?" he said. Faliszek didn't provide answers to those questions--but the opportunities are exciting to think about.
According to an estimate from Nvidia (by Bloomberg), only 13 million PCs globally are powerful enough run VR games. That's less than 1 percent of the 1.43 billion PCs that people will own in 2016, according to data from research group Gartner.
