Fallout 4 Beta Update Finally Squashes The Damned Stuck Terminal Bug

You know that insufferable bug in Fallout 4 where you get stuck on terminals? Well, Bethesda has fixed it at long last. Few things were more irritating than when this happened, and it seemed like a bug that would be absolutely unmissable during play testing.

If by some miracle you haven’t encountered this on the PC version of Fallout 4, then it occurs when you try to exit a hacking terminal. Your viewpoint glitches and then you’re just stuck there, forced into reloading a save. It’s the headline fix of a new PC beta update 1.2.37 for Fallout 4, and it’ll probably be responsible for a global drop in blood pressure.

Other than that, I’m not going to lie to you, there’s not a great deal going on here with this patch. Performance inside the infamous Corvega Assembly Plant has been improved, which is good, but I imagine most players are already well past there by now. If you aren’t, what are you waiting for?

Beta Update 1.2.37
New Features

  • General memory and stability improvements.
  • Performance improvements inside the Corvega Assembly Plant.
  • Fixed issue with player becoming stuck in terminals.

It’s a beta update, so if you want to grab it, then you’ll need to opt into the beta branch of Fallout 4 on Steam. To do this, Right Click on Fallout 4 in your Steam Library. Selecting Settings, and then Betas. From the drop-down menu select the Fallout 4 Beta update. The patch should now download.
