After years spent watching from afar, Ubisoft wants a slice of that delicious multiplayer pie this holiday with the launch of Rainbow Six Siege. After watching the success of Call of Duty and Battlefield, it was only a matter of time until Ubisoft created what it hopes is an FPS competitor.
Pitting two teams of counter-operatives against one another in frantic close-quarters battles, Rainbow Six Siege promises to have all the tactical nous of the Tom Clancy games with all the action of Counter-Strike. It's out on December 1st and will probably become the shooter of choice during the upcoming holidays, but before then, check out the official Rainbow Six Siege system requirements.
Rainbow Six Siege Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i3-560 3.3GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0GHz
- RAM: 6GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 1GB Video Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870
- DX: DirectX 11
- HDD: 30GB Free Hard Drive Space
Rainbow Six Siege Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3 GHz or AMD FX-8120 3.1 GHz
- RAM: 8GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 2GB Video Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970
- HDD: 47GB Free Hard Drive Space
As expected, these official requirements for Rainbow Six Siege fall exactly in line with the recent beta tests. Keys for this were given out like candy so hopefully plenty of you got to play Rainbow Six siege first-hand and judge performance on your rig. The only alteration here is obviously the increased installation size. The beta test was limited to select maps, so the full game weighs in at a hefty 47GB. You can opt for a smaller 30GB installation, presumably lacking single-player training and/or higher quality audio.
