Learn To Pillage With The Europa Universalis IV: The Cossacks Expansion In December

Europa Universalis IV continues its never-ending quest to get bigger and more in-depth, presumably until it's more complex than the politic systems its aping, with the release announcement of The Cossacks.
Now this isn’t anything to do with Cossacks 3, which I excitedly thought originally, but rather a new expansion for Paradox’s grand strategy game. Based on the band of moustache-toting roaming Russian military warriors, this seventh major expansion greatly expands the diplomatic system, allowing players to highlight potential territories to attack with their allies, and use land grabs to barter for favours. It all sounds mighty devious.

One of the central tents to The Cossacks expansion is being able to assign provinces to your nobles, sacrificing a slice of your income to let someone else do the dirty work. Let any of these barons get too high and mighty however and they might start measuring your throne up for size. Elsewhere Europa Universalis IV: The Cossacks adds the new Tengri Syncretic faith, a Horde Unity system that is raised by a spot of razing and pillaging, native policies, and improved espionage. The latter means you can now spy on the technology of your more well-equipped enemies and steal their knowledge.
