It Looks As If PlayStation Exclusive Dragon Quest Heroes Is Coming To PC Soon

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below, could be coming to PC according to a pop-up ad that briefly appeared on Steam this week. The PlayStation-exclusive Musou-style hack ’n’ slasher arrived on consoles to favourable reviews last month, but now it appears as if it’s coming to PC.

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below appeared as an ad when using the Steam client, inviting users to pre-purchase a copy now. Clicking through apparently linked to a dead page and the advert hasn’t been seen since, so presumably this is something which leaked out a little earlier than Square Enix and developer Omega Force had intended. Until now, there hasn’t been a whisper of Dragon Quest Heroes coming to Steam, but it certainly wouldn’t be surprising. Square Enix has shown an increased interest recently in bringing its Japan-centric games over, including the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.

Dragon Quest Heroes transforms the usually slow-paced RPG series into a take on the long-running Dynasty Warriors formula. As you’d expect from a Musou game it looks fast and furious. In this real-time action RPG, you play as two members of the city guard, who must head out to take on hordes of enemies in 100-strong battles.
There’s no word yet on when Dragon Quest Heroes is going to be officially announced for PC but it can’t be too far considering Square Enix has begun readying its pre-order campaign.
