Telltale's The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and More Pulled From IOS App Store
Multiple titles developed by Telltale Games have been removed from the iOS application store, in light of compatibility issues with the iOS 9 operating system.
Among these games are recent releases such as the Back to the Future, The Wolf Among Us, and Tales of Monkey Island series, as well as older games including Poker Night 2, Sam and Max, and Jurassic Park. A message on the Telltale Games support page confirms the studio is working on resolving the issues and the affected games will be available again in the future. "If you are running iOS 9 on your iPhone or iPad, we are aware of an issue that causes missing sound or causes the game to freeze during connection, or crash. Our team is currently investigating this issue, and we hope to have more information in the near future," the post reads. Telltale explains that the investigation process requires the games to be pulled from the store, but those that have already purchased them will have access to them again.
"During the investigation, we will be temporarily removing the affected apps from the App Store while we work to resolve these issues ... As long as you have the game downloaded and installed on your mobile device, you will be able to continue playing normally. If you have previously purchased the game application but have deleted it, you can still re-download it from the App Store either on your device, or from a PC/Mac with iTunes installed." Telltale Games has announced a partnership with Marvel for a new game due out in 2017. Details on what the project is, however, have not yet been released. The studio previously said it was aiming to move beyond games with its new game/TV show hybrid project called "Super Show," though it's unclear if the new Marvel game will operate under this model.
