Blue Byte's bizarre propensity for creating games whose numerals total nine appears to be continuing in fine fashion with Anno 2205. As you can surmise from a quick look at your calendar, Anno 2205 is set some two hundred years in the future, so this city builder is all about gleaming neon sprawls. Away from the usual city construction there's also lunar bases to manage and plundering the arctic for all it's got with the resource management system.
One thing's for sure from early gameplay footage, and that's Anno 2205 is an absolute looker for a city-builder, with surreal white-clad cities and grand industrial complexes as far as the eye can see. Before you set about conquering Earth, the Moon and space, however, it's definitely going to be worth your time checking out the Anno 2205 system requirements to see if your gaming rig's up to the task.
Anno 2205 Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2 GHz
- RAM: 4GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 1GB Video Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870 1024MB
- DX: DirectX 11
- HDD: 35GB Free Hard Drive Space
- Audio: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
Anno 2205 Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 S 2.5 GHz or AMD FX-4100 3.6 GHz
- RAM: 8 GB System Memory
- GPU RAM: 2GB Graphics Memory
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon HD 7970
Ubisoft seems to be a little bit confused by its system requirements this time around. By our reckoning the minimum AMD CPU of a Phenom II X4 955 actually edges out the recommended FX-4100 CPU, so make of that what you will. As for the rest, well, these Anno 2205 system requirements are pretty high for a strategy / management game, but there's nothing here that should really tax the higher end rigs. You'll be wanting a 64-bit system packing a DX11-capable card as a starting point, with significantly more GPU grunt to push up the graphical settings. Once your cities get larger it's going to be your CPU and memory that could really struggle, so keep an eye on these and lower settings appropriately to achieve a more stable frame rate.
