Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is an upcoming release being developed by Epic games and published by Microsoft game studios. It runs on unreal engine 3 and it's a third person shooter, action/adventure game. Single player and multiplayer modes are available.
Gears of War: ultimate edition focuses on the troops of Delta Squad as they make a desperate attempt to save the humans inhabiting the fictional planet, SERA, from Locust horde, a subterranean enemy who seems to be unstoppable. Gamers take control of Marcus Fenix, who is an ex-convict and war hardened soldier, or Dominic Santiago (gamers can switch characters).
It pays special attention to the use of "cover" to avoid taking damage and also to evade enemies, players can also take cover to regain their health (as in most shooters) but taking too much damage will incapacitate the player. Also, players can be revive by teammate, killed by an enemy or bleed to death once they're incapacitated. It also features an 'over-shoulder' aim style, a five-act campaign that can be played alone or cooperatively with one other player and a multiplayer mode that allows four-on-four competitive gameplay with teams representing the Gears or the Locusts.
Gears of War: Ultimate edition will be released to Xbox one and PC on the 25th of August, 2015. PC requirements are yet to be confirmed. To all lovers of the gears of war series, the Ultimate Edition is promising (with its nicely enhanced graphics and the added features) not to disappoint. Anticipate!!!!
