world of tanks coming to PlayStation 4

Following various rumours and leaks, Wargaming has now confirmed World of Tanks will be released on PlayStation 4. TJ Wagner, project lead on the PS4 version of Wargaming's successful massively multiplayer title, explained the studio is "tuning the experience specifically" for Sony's console.

The game will debut with new content never seen before, including "custom maps, custom tanks, custom skins, and more."  Additionally, two new maps will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 users for a limited time. Anyone who does opt to play as a PS Plus member will unlock a free premium tank, exclusive camouflage, three days of Premium Account time and discounts on purchases.

It will also launch exclusive Girls und Panzer content and themes. The game, which will be free to all PlayStation 4 owners regardless of whether they subscribe to PS Plus or not, will incorporate the DualShock 4's light bar, controller speaker and touchpad, so all PlayStation Network account holders can play. Those interested can sign up for access to the upcoming beta and release version of World of Tanks for PlayStation 4 here.
