Gears of War Ultimate Edition Gnasher Weapon Bug Reported

Gears of War developer The Coalition is planning to release a new patch for the Xbox One Ultimate Edition to "improve the consistency" of the Gnasher short-barrel shotgun. As you can see in the animated GIF below (and this other one), the weapon's hit detection appears to be off in some circumstances.

An upcoming patch should fix this, The Coalition's community manager said on Reddit. No timetable for the patch's release was announced, but the studio said it is "actively working" on deploying the fix.The Gnasher issues don't appear to be limited to online play, where lag could be a factor, as the GIF above shows the same issue popping up during a local split-screen match.

In addition to the Gnasher issue, The Coalition is working on a patch to fix other bugs, including issues related to the game's leaderboards and spectator mode, an L-trigger delay, and some crash problems.

"Once we know what will be fixed we will release patch notes," the developer said on its website. "There is no set timeframe for the patch yet but we hope to get it out as quickly as possible."
