Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced the launch date for its upcoming action role-playing game, Dark Souls III. The game which is set for release in North America, South America, Europe, Middle-East, Africa, and Australasia in April next year will be made available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam) platforms.
This is a little bit later than the Japan release date, which is currently scheduled for a March 24 release. The Japanese retail version of the game will also include a "specially designed map" and soundtrack.
Developer From Software previously declared a network test for the PS4 edition of Dark Souls III, which will be held October 16-18. Dark Souls III was first announced at E3 this year. It is being directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, who created the Souls series and directed Bloodborne.
